Mrs Eileen Ginger RGN, HV, NDN(Cert), MCMI

Eileen began her career as a cadet nurse in 1957 and has worked in the nursing/care field in a variety of ways.

Eileen has gained much experience in many areas including theatre and ward sister, community nursing as a health visitor and of course proprietor of many care homes

and domiciliary care settings.

Home Manager

After working in the schools meals services as a cook since leaving Jackie qualified as a Registered Mental health Nurse in 1990. She worked for Chorley and South Ribble health authority as a staff nurse on both the elderly mental health unit at Chorley hospital and on the acute admission ward at Eaves lane hospital.

Eileen believes there is no compromise with care and strives to ensure that everyone receives care that is a standard of excellence. She also believes that through training and  personal development her staff will have the knowledge and confidence to provide an excellent standard of care to all her residents.

Eileen purchased Highcliffe in 2003 and has made many improvements in the home and its grounds. She has invested heavily in staff training and development.

Our other staff

Highcliffe Residential Home employs senior care staff, care staff, Activities Co-ordinator, a cook, a domestic, a laundry person and a caretaker.

All staff complete induction training, which is inclusive of moving and handling, first aid awareness and various other courses, and senior staff have completed Leadership course.

Staff are encouraged to train for NVQ levels two and three.

All staff training needs are constantly monitored and reviewed. Highcliffe is dedicated to ensuring staff receive the training required to provide all residents with a level of care that is a standard of excellence.

In 1994 she started work for the Brothers of Charity based at Lisieux in Whittle le Woods as a residential service manager

supporting adults with learning disabilities. She left there in 2008 after working as a director for 7 years. Since then she has managed a 40 bedded nursing home in Banks near Southport and more recently worked as a locality manager in Manchester for services for adults with mental health and learning disabilities
Jackie was very pleased to accept the position of manager at Highcliffe in February 2012
As well as being a first level nurse, Jackie has also obtained her NVQ level 4 in management in 1997 and has completed a diploma in Management studies through the University of Central Lancashire in 2008
Jackie is committed to very high standards of care and support working in a person centred manner to ensure to ensure that an individuals experience of living in a care home is as positive as possible
Jackie makes sure that the open door policy is maintained and that all who visit the home are made welcome and treated in a warm and professional manner

Mrs Patricia Eskdale Financial Administrator

Following her retirement as Registered Manager in 2008, Pat continues to be employed at Highcliffe as Financial Administrator. Pat monitors all financial aspects of the home. This includes liaising with the accountants, Social services, Utilities, Service users and family members.Patricia has experience in this field and has sound knowledge of the requirements of the financial issues of the home.
